After years of living in the suburbs, and after having two kids, my wife and I made the bold decision to move to the City. A year and a half after moving to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, a compromise urban/suburban community which gave us our first taste of urban living, we decided to go all the way and we now live on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
I have been a daily bicycle commuter since shortly after moving to Riverdale. Most days I ride down the Hudson River Greenway in New York City and take a train or ferry to my job in Jersey City. This blog is about bike commuting, family cycling, living and cycling in the city, advocacy for safer streets and better bicycle infrastructure, and all the interesting things I encounter commuting on the greenway. To learn more about why I started riding read my introductory post.
